Very interesting article on Incident and Problems and how ITIL confuses the definitions of both. We all understand that ITIL is not prescriptive, but in many instances the “guidance” that it provides leave far more subjective interpretation of ITIL than is actually helpful to an organization’s implementation of certain processes. Incident and Problem are arguably two of the most important in daily operations. Getting these wrong can seriously negate any benefit of their implementations.
